Description

Observed and imaged Io's transit of Jupiter on the night of May 24, 2018. Seeing varied from poor to average. Not one of my best imaging sessions, but once again an interesting event to observe and fun to capture and continue my climb up the planetary imaging curve...

Imaged with a C8 Evo, custom Siebert 2x barlow, ZWO ADC, Baader Moon&Skyglow filter, and ZWO ASI224MC. Image capture using Firecapture. Stacking in AutoStakkert3. Deconvolved in Fitswork4. Color balancing and Wavelet sharpening in Registax6. Lastly, deroted a series of 3 images in WinJupos10.9 to generate the final image. Each of the individual images is a stack of the best 25% of typically 8000-9000 frames captured over 60 seconds.
